Info
From Lohja, Finland to Bonn, Germany
Merri Group operates in two countries: Finland and Germany. The owner of the company, Heidi Merrilä, has a home stable in Lohja, Finland, where she usually houses 4-8 horses, which are for her own training and competition use. In addition, other horses owned by the company live in Germany, more precisely in Bonn. Both sport and breeding horses live in Germany, as well as foals and youngsters.
Even though the horses are owned by the company, Heidi has a strong bond with each of them, and the horses’ role is mainly to be partners both on and off the show ring, and not just to generate profit for the company. Merri Group’s values are deeply horse-oriented, according to which horses should be allowed to be horses, whether they are foals, high-level sport horses, or retired. The aim is to create the best possible personalized daily routines for each horse. Horse friends, regular exercise, and minimizing stress factors, as well as anticipation, are at the center of Merri Group’s horses’ everyday life.
